Casio Education has recently launched the PRIZM Graphing Calculator, which is touted to transform how technology is used in the classroom. The PRIZM is the first in Casio’s next-generation line of graphing calculators with its high-resolution 3.7-inch color LCD display, along with various functions designed to assist with math lessons. The PRIZM comes with high-resolution fonts up to 18×24 dots (including blank dots), to enable equations and text to be displayed just like they appear in textbooks. The Blanview LCD delivers superior visibility and low power consumption, enabling color display with an estimated run time of 140 hours on four AAA-size alkaline batteries. What makes the PRIZM special is that it is already approved for use on the ACT, PSAT, SAT, and AP exams. The Casio PRIZM Graphing Calculator will be available from January 2011 for $129.99 each.
