New-York-City based Bond No.9 is preparing to launch two new scents this coming fall. Washington Square is a feminine perfume and Cooper Square is an "unisex [scent] with masculine tendencies." Both were composed by perfumer Laurent Le Guernec who has collaborated several times already with the brand but without being presented as its resident-perfumer officially although he approaches this status...
Washington Square EDP, like for High Line, will be launched to coincide with the opening (reopening in this case) of yet another green space in NYC, here the Washington Square Park. It's the perfume house's second collaboration with City Parks Department. To capture the spirit of the place better, a landscape scene is represented on the bottle showing the spot's popularity as a children's playground and relaxation venue.
Top notes of Italian bergamot, geranium and tarragon; middle notes of purple rose and honey; base notes of vintage amber, a leather accord, vetiver and musk.
Prices: 3.4-oz. bottle for $230, a 1.7-oz. size for $150 and a pocket spray for $95.
Cooper Square EDP is inspired by the Cooper Union school as well as more generally architecture and art. It is described as a spicy scent with "a lot of kick."
Top notes are cognac and juniper berry; heart notes are lavender, myrrh, olibanum and patchouli; base notes are cashmere wood, musk, vetiver, ciste labdanum and timber wood.
Prices: 3.4-oz. for $230 and a 1.7-oz. bottle for $150.
